This tip can help you rip thin strips on your table saw safely.
Are you planning to rip many thin strips on your table saw? It might be tempting to set your fence and start ripping but there's a problem. The thin strips can become trapped between the blade and the fence and kick-back.
The way to avoid this is to rip the strip from the outside of the board. This may require you to adjust your fence for each strip but it's a lot safer.
